REVIEW: Grown Ups 2

Adam Sandler has obviously never met a fart-poop-boob joke he didn’t like.  His first sequel ever is beyond sophomoric. Call this one freshmanoric.   The humor has not matured in the sequel.

It starts with a heavily-antlered  big deer  finding its way into Lenny (Sandler’s) family home, peeing on both him and his mastering-of-his-own-domain-in-the-shower oldest son. So, yeah, it’s potty-humor right from the get-go.

Sandler throws some family values  in (most of his bromancers are family guys or family guy wanna-be’s)  but it’s the toilet/slapstick  humor that  rules.

More celebs  show up  in the sequel,  including Shaquille O’Neal (as a cop),  Taylor Lautner (as the leading frat boy from hell), Georgia Engel (“The Mary Tyler Moore Show”), Steve Buscemi, Tim Meadows, Steve Austin and Milo Ventimiglia.

Just like the first film, there’s  virtually no plot. It’s just a bunch of  slapsticky jokes and one-liners.

The one bit of positivity: the 80’s music including Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves Of London”   Billy Idol’s “Dancing With Myself”  and an actual on-screen performance by  The J. Geils  Band .

Basically,  we have our 2nd movie of the weekend  aimed at a pubing boys
